Coming Soon :: the Fire Your Thyroid Teleseminar Series

As someone recently posted on my Facebook page, “I have to wonder: Is the teleclass about firing or firing up your thyroid? If it is underperforming, I guess that is cause for either or both!” So funny.

What is a teleseminar? It’s a “class” that you can attend from the comfort of your own home, via telephone. Cool, huh?

After three years of reading and research about natural, drug-free ways to jumpstart my sluggish thyroid, which meant putting a stop to my weight gain, relieving my afternoon fatigue, facing my day alert versus feeling like I’d been beaten up the night before, and helping many of my clients do the same, I am developing a teleseminar series that is going to be the best of my thinking and personal experience with getting this gland in gear.

You are busy. And you want answers, which your doctor may not be giving you. If your doctor can’t right your ship, how are you supposed to unravel the confusion on your own?

Your thyroid, also known as “the master gland,” is the boss of your metabolism. An underactive thyroid can bring your metabolism to a crawl, making dieting an exercise in futility and triggering the body to pack on the pounds. It can also cause further hormonal imbalances, hair loss, muscle aches, dry skin, depression, forgetfulness, lethargy, adult acne, insomnia, and fierce cravings, to name a few.

When I first learned that I had Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (autoimmune hypothyroidism), I was a little taken aback. Maybe it was because my then-doctor was very stoic, matter-of-factly diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s disease, and told me that I’d have to be on Synthroid for the rest of my life. Whatevs.

True, Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune disease, where the body mistakenly attacks thyroid tissue as if it were an enemy. But I prefer the friendlier term “condition.” (Other common autoimmune conditions include psoriasis, lupus, alopecia, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac, Crohn’s, Grave’s, type 1 diabetes, and multiple sclerosis.) Dr. Datis Kharrazian, author of Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? When My Lab Tests are Normal calls hypothyroidism “the silent epidemic” and states that a whopping 90% of people with hypothyroidism have Hashimoto’s.

After mucking through a ton of information about hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s, and righting my own ship without drugs, I am beyond thrilled to be introducing this teleseminar series. These last several months have left me feeling better than I have in a long time. Great, actually. Am I Perky Perkerson 100% of the time? No, but if I have a sluggish day, I can usually look back at what I did or ate or thought the prior 24 hours and find a darn good reason.

Ready for the goods?

There will be a FREE {Fire} Your Thyroid Preview Call in the near future. This call will be recorded, so if you can’t make the live call, I’ll send you an .mp3 file to listen to.

What you’ll get in the teleseminar series:

  • A series of one-hour, information-packed thyroid health teleseminars (I’m thinking three, perhaps four - I have a lot of information to share!), with room for Q&A at the end
  • A Quick Action Guide, sent to you after each call
  • For the first 20 people to enroll, a 20-minute, private follow-up coaching session with me, scheduled at a time that’s convenient for you

What you’ll learn:

  • How I quickly got my thyroid antibodies (indicators of Hashimoto’s) from the thousands into the mere 20’s
  • What the vast majority of doctors won’t tell you about hypothyroidism (because they don’t have the time to educate themselves)
  • Why TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone - nicknamed thyroid stimulating hooey) is not the end-all-be-all for testing the thyroid
  • Why just targeting the thyroid is the wrong approach for treatment
  • Why the most common thyroid drug, Synthroid (and its ilk, Levothyroxine and Levoxyl), which fuels a multi-million dollar industry, rarely works
  • How to get your energy back
  • What foods both weaken and strengthen the thyroid
  • What an underactive thyroid has to do with belly fat
  • Why addressing adrenal fatigue is critical
  • Why an iodine deficiency is rarely to blame
  • Why dieting and rigorous exercise will backfire
  • How to address the underlying cause of Hashimoto’s and other autoimmune conditions (it’s common to have more than one – I also have alopecia)
  • How to support and nourish the immune system
  • The role that all macronutrients (carbohydrates, fat, and protein) play in thyroid health
  • Why gut/digestive health is important for thyroid health
  • What blood sugar has to do with your thyroid
  • What herbs may help balance the endocrine/hormonal system
  • What role sleep plays in thyroid health
  • How to nourish your dry hair and skin
  • Foods for good mood – how to lift the thyroid brain fog
  • How to get a better night’s sleep
  • Why the SAD (standard American diet) is hard on the thyroid
  • What the thyroid has to do with fertility
  • How environmental factors affect the thyroid
  • What role old belief systems and behaviors play
  • Why being seen, heard, and listened to is important for thyroid health
  • What living in overwhelm does to the thyroid

I’ll also share with you:

  • Full list of thyroid lab tests to ask for
  • A resource for finding functional medicine doctors who are likely to “get it”
  • Resources for ordering your own labs

BONUS material:

  • How thyroid and adrenal health significantly impact how you’ll enter menopause, or if you’re currently in perimenopause or menopause and having difficulty, how you can move on through without losing your mind

Whew. That’s quite a list. I’ll be crafting this series over the next couple of weeks, when I’m not with clients. And I’ll do my best to pack it into a three-series seminar. Can I do it? We’ll see. You’ll be the first to know! So please stay tuned.

Do you know someone who could benefit from this information-packed telesminar series? Please send them the link to this blog post and ask them to sign up for my newsletter, where they’ll get first-hand information about the teleseminar details.

I'm sooooo glad you are doing this series. I really look forward to hearing some of the answers to my questions. Thanks so much for doing this.

Thank God you are doing this! Please keep me posted with the details. I found out I have Hashimoto's last year. Three doctors later, and with one who works outside the insurance system, I am making progress.

I've been treated with levoxyl for hypothyroid for a few years now and continue to have most of the symptoms you mention without results. My TSH continues within "normal" limits. I'd like to learn more.

Thanks,

Orlanda

i want to get this on my calendar...do you have the date yet???

The 3-part teleseminar will take place on Aug. 2, 9, & 16 at 7:30pm CST. Each call will last an hour. I will make the official announcement about the dates when I broadcast the date of the free Preview Call, which I hope to do in the next few days. My tech guys are working on the Preview Call registration page and I want to make sure that that's completely in place and working before I announce that date.
